Summer Air Conditioning Service

May 10, 2012

As Summer approaches and the weather gets warmer we all want our cars to be cooler. To make sure your air conditioning is working properly and is at it's full potentional it is important to check your Air conditioning system anually.

Some of the key components we check are your air conditioning compressor. It must be at the proper level of oil. Air condtioning hoses,connections,a/c condensor, and drier for stress cracks and leaks. These parts can allow refrigerant to leak slowly out of your air conditioning system. It is important to have your air condtioning system working properly year round. Not only does it cool you in the summer it helps control humidity and makes your defrost work more effectively in the winter by eleminating condensation on the windows (Defrost ) year round.

Common problems can be

. Poor cooling: due to low refrigerant, low pressure or components of the system not working properly.

. Excessive noise : Can be caused by beariings in the A/c compressor failing or a bad clutch problem.

. Luke warm: A/c that is not cool enough may have a system leak or could be low and need a recharge of the air conditioning system.
