TIPS ON FLAT TIRES

With allof the new technology in cars today, it's more important than ever to take extra caution when doing something as simple as changing a flat tire.

Cars today are equipped with a special air pressure sensor mounted inside the tire. It is important to never introduce chemicals, for example fix-a-flat, to a tire with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TMPM) . If a light on your dash tells you that a tire is low, your car is equipped with a TPMS.

Chemicals can cause corrosion to the tire sensor and mounting bracket/nut. Repair and replacement of TPMS compontents can be very costly, so make sure you put your spare tire on at first sign of a flat tire.

If your low tire light comes on, come in and have us check the air pressure in your tires at no charge.
